The Beginning

The beginning of creating, my approach is to have a new conversation with each canvas. The idea of starting with very little accept some brushes and paint in the beginning and then creating something completely new from the encounter is extremely appealing. I am inspired by a variety of artists including John Michel Basquiat, Cy Twombly, Brice Marden, Helen Frankenthaler, Gerhard Richter to name a few. The individuality and genius of their work is incredibly inspiring.
